Google Goes Down

This will be quick because I should be working, but I thought this might be of interest. I tried to get to google.com today and I kept getting a page not found message. Odd. So I try going through www.anonymouse.org, a proxy server that allows me to access webpages that might be blocked and sure enough, google is up and running. No! Chinese government blocks google? Bold, bold move. Google is taking over the world. I called my friend Ben to see if maybe it's just my computer, but sure enough he returns the same results. He told me that a couple of years ago, google did something that pissed off the government and the government blocked google. Google, along with thousands of google users in China, had something to say about it. The outcry was so big, apparently, the government was forced to let google back up after a few days. Now I'm not entirely sure how accurate all this information is - if you are interested you can look into it yourself.
